events

Weekly Meetings - The Troop holds weekly meetings on Wednesdays at 6:30pm during which members work on scout skills, merit badges, and advancement tasks. The weekly meetings also allow time to plan other events (such as campouts) and to have fun with friends.

Campouts - A significant part of the scout experience is camping. The Troop generally camps once per month from October through May. These campouts are typically one or two nights long. The Troop also encourages the scouts to participate in Scout Summer Camp for one week during the summer.

Recently, the Troop has camped at Lost Maples State Natural Area, Lake Somerville State Park, Stephen F. Austin State Park, Pedernales Falls State Park, Enchanted Rock State Natural Area, Ratcliff Lake Recreation Area as well as Boy Scout operated camps Strake, Sid Richardson Scout Ranch, Worth Ranch, and Buffal Trail Scout Ranch We have also camped at private ranches near Houston.

The Troop has also made longer trips to Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado and Hawaii in the recent years.

We also enjoy canoeing, kayaking, fishing, waterskiing and shooting outings.
